Regional Cultural Amenities Audit & Strategy

Baltimore, MD

For the non-profit Baltimore Community Foundation, Randall Gross assessed the existing inventory of arts & cultural, recreational, retail, and entertainment amenities in the Baltimore, Maryland region.  He led a team including the Parks & People Foundation, Creative Alliance, Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, and others to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the Baltimore region’s (population 3.0 million) cultural assets and to determine how the arts and culture should be used as a marketing draw for attracting people back to the declining city. The recommendations provided by Mr. Gross have been incorporated into the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and citywide economic development programmes.
