Recycling Industry Potentials and Development Strategy

Randall Gross and his South African firm ADEC worked with environmental consulting firm Sivest to determine the economic potentials and development strategy for the recycling industry in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Province. This work was completed for the KZN Department of Economic Development and Planning. As one of the inputs to this work, Randall Gross and ADEC determined the potential for increased use of recycled content among KZN manufacturing companies, in order to create a stronger local market for recycled products. Ultimately, the objective was to enhance job creation through increased recycling activity throughout the province.
