Mr. Gross assessed the market-based and non-profit development opportunities for a technology center associated with the Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA). The center would adaptively reuse a former sewing factory. The rapidly-merging worlds of art and technology present new opportunities for collaboration and convergence. Mr. Gross recommended a collaborative effort between MICA, Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, and arts institutions to create anchor research projects that would serve as the focus for a variety of uses within the center.
