Medical & Health Care Industries Cluster Strategy

Pikeville, KY

RGDE worked with the City of Pikeville on development of their medical industries cluster. The city is home to a major regional medical center – Pikeville Medical Center – and a private university with a focus on graduate-level medicine, University of Pikeville (UPike). Mr. Gross helped assess the potential opportunities for the cluster, worked with stakeholders in key industries and institutions, and developed a strategic plan for development of the industry cluster. Particular focus was given to developing the community’s capacity for medical technology and process applications.
