Lower Georgia Avenue Commercial Revitalization
Lower Georgia Avenue Commercial Revitalization
Washington, DC
As a Senior Associate for a national consulting firm, Mr. Gross helped define two commercial redevelopment alternatives for the Georgia Avenue Corridor, near Howard University, a historically black college in Washington. One alternative involved the re-establishment of the area as an entertainment district, once famous as a hub for black artists and entertainers. The other alternative sought to create a viable mix of retail and medical office uses related to Howard University and surrounding hospitals. Mr. Gross determined the retail & entertainment market potential and recommended a strategy for marketing.
