Mr. Gross completed three assignments for the Open Space Institute and New York State Parks, to assess the concession opportunities as well as the recreation needs for Jones Beach, a popular park that attracts more than six million visitors per year. A survey of visitors was conducted to assess concession concessions and consumer preferences. Later, Mr. Gross also conducted a recreation needs assessment to determine the potential for selected recreation facilities and to define them within the park’s master planning framework. Finally, Mr. Gross most recently assessed the need for “court” activities like volleyball and badminton at Jones Beach.
