COLLEGE STREET CORRIDOR REVITALIZATION STRATEGIC PLANNING

Randall Gross / Development Economics (RGDE) completed a revitalization strategy for College Street on behalf of Austin Peay State University (APSU). College Street (which becomes Wilma Rudolph Boulevard) is a major arterial connecting downtown Clarksville to I-24, passing in front of the main entrance to APSU. A large car dealership situated across from the university is relocating out of downtown and the university purchased that property in an effort to help improve conditions and enliven the environment around APSU. RGDE provided strategic recommendations for the corridor to help establish an attractive and lively gateway to APSU. Among his recommendations was an anchor sports & entertainment venue, which is now under construction.
