Cape Town International Airport Area Economic Development Strategy

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

On behalf of Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), the Cape Metropolitan Council, and the City of Tygerberg (Cape Town), Randall Gross worked on an economic development strategy for areas surrounding the Cape Town International Airport. This work focussed on extrinsic sources of development demand, including international tourism and freight, but also on community and economic development strategies for the neighborhoods surrounding the airport. He also examined potentials for ACSA-owned land associated with the airport and recommended strategies for short- and long-term development.
