Capacity Building for Network of Small Apparel and Craft Exporters

Randall Gross and his South African firm ADEC worked as prime consultants for Mpumalanga Province on a capacity building effort on behalf of small apparel, textile, and craft exporters, mainly from rural areas within the province. This effort has focused on assessing existing product, identifying market potentials, and determining export opportunities for the small rural businesses. Gross and ADEC then provided extensive training for the small companies in craft product development and in business & export training. Randall Gross and ADEC also completed a strategic plan for the Province in establishing a business unit to develop, package and oversee logistics for export of the crafters’ product.
