Arkansas Research & Technology Park Feasibility
Arkansas Research & Technology Park Feasibility
Fayetteville, AR
Mr. Gross assessed the potential for a research park affiliated with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. This analysis focused on the university’s strengths in agricultural sciences. This park has been successfully developed as the Arkansas Research and Technology Park, anchored by the Genesis Technology Incubator. A recent economic impact analysis determined that the park adds $55 million to the state’s economy each year. Many of the park’s tenants are geared to the university’s strengths in agriscience, but there are also tenants oriented to photonics, energy, nanotechnology, environmental sciences and other industries. Mr. Gross completed this work as a senior consultant for Hammer, Siler, George Associates.
